Comfort in Covid

For two weeks after the primary election, we watched and prayed that our crew, clients, families and loved ones were all healthy and safe. We are blessed to have no virus in the Vivant family. We know we are fortunate. We're moving slowly and cautiously. 

This week I visited the first two clients of the season alone, practicing extra glove layers, face masks, distancing and disinfecting to be sure it was possible for our "essential" service to continue. Then I brought one crew member with me to practice it again. 

And you, our clients, have been incredible. You have stayed inside and 6 ft feet away. You have paid promptly and sent encouraging texts and emails. You made us so proud to be your garden service and reminded us just how much we love sharing our gardening passion with you. 

There's such healing in our gardens during this time. Seeds live in centuries, not days or weeks or COVID seasons. They don't care that we are counting our groceries or emergency funds. They are growing the same as always. My crew member and I both said how good it felt to see the plants popping up - to have a reminder of nature's downright determination. Even with masks and latex gloves on, we felt the literal Spring in our step as our muscles returned to the work they were built for.
